The butterfly sounds like a really interesting book. As sad as it is, I find learning about the Nazis and that time period really interesting. Even though it is a very heavy topic to talk about with children, I think it is an important one!
ReplyDeleteThe Gardener is one of my favorite books and I have seen it used in field, several times. Children are usually extremely interested with the story line and there are so many activities that can be related to and used with this in the classroom!
ReplyDeleteThe Butterfly seems like a mysterious book that has be intrigued! Would give a good insight for children about the Nazis and that historical time period.
ReplyDeletePatricia Polacco is a great author of historical fiction for children. I love her Pink and Say about two Civil War soldiers.
