This graphic novel has very little text in it and few frames but still carries the flow of a graphic novel. Tim and his friends are always getting into shenanigans, but are always laughing at the same time. Anything can happen in their world! Struggling readers won't be overwhelmed by the text but can still make a story by using inferences. Also, for young readers, this a great story to introduce the genre of a graphic novel because this book is intended for younger readers.

As you mentioned, young readers can use this to not be so overwhelmed by the text and also with the various little story they can break it up into one at a time!
ReplyDeleteI like this style of graphic novel that has four short stories in it! I think having multiple stories in one big book helps struggling readers even more feel less overwhelmed because they can read one story at a time. This is also a great beginner graphic novel since it has less text in it.
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a great graphic novel to help introduce to students with this genre. It also seems like with the different types of inferences that are needed to be made, different students may come up with different thought processes, which makes it interesting.
